The deadline to register to vote in an election is the fourth Wednesday prior to the election. If registering by mail, your voter registration must be postmarked on the fourth Wednesday prior to the election.
The voter registration qualifications in Missouri are as follows:
- 17 ½ years of age to register, 18 years of age to vote
- US Citizen
- Missouri Resident
If you are registering to vote in Boone County for the first time, you will need to show your ID in order for us to mail you your voter identification card. You can show ID in person at our office in downtown Columbia (801 E Walnut, Room 236), by email at clerk@boonecountymo.org, or when you vote at your polling place on Election Day.
